Wines of Washington Promotion creates HOLIDAY Stocking Stuffer

P-O-P Retail Display & Social Media Icon for Barnard Griffin Winery

Seattle, WA. . . Wines of Washington Promotion, an interactive and integrated marketing agency designed to service Washington State Wineries, created an energized Holiday social media icon and off-premise, traffic-building, point-of-purchase (P-O-P), wine case display for the Barnard Griffin Winery.

Displays are up in Pacific Northwest grocery stores, convenience stores and wine shops.  Case Cards are designed to fit tray- and stadium-cut wine cases to drive consumers to the displays.  Impactful graphic makes a strong and abundantly clear recommendation to the consumer that Barnard Griffin Wines are indeed the choice for the Holidays and a most excellent Stocking Stuffer gift idea.

P-O-P includes key social media site icons and winery’s web address to direct consumers to the website in order for Barnard Griffin to obtain contact information for Direct Marketing follow-up. The graphic image on the P-O-P was specifically designed to translate well into much smaller social media icon executions for seamless integration of the campaign.

“This is a challenging time for Washington State wines.  While sales are slightly up in some price categories, there continues to be overall downward pressure on pricing due to consumer concerns over the economy.  We suggest that this is an excellent time for wineries to focus on building their marketing foundations and infrastructure in 2012 so they are poised and ready to take maximum advantage of the inevitable rebound in the marketplace,” says Bruce Bieber, Chief Marketing Officer of the agency.

Wines of Washington Promotion’s expertise in building and bootstrapping brands with affordable design, advertising, marketing and promotion is key to helping winemakers so they can devote the majority of their time to what they do best — making great wine.

Wines of Washington Promotion & Peterson Media Team Up to

Market Wine Yakima Valley’s Red Wine & Chocolate Event

Team Provided Media Buys & Key Value-Added

Promotion Elements in Seattle DMA

Seattle, WA. . . Wines of Washington Promotion, an interactive and integrated marketing and design agency based in Seattle, teamed up with Peterson Media, a media buying service based in Portland, OR, to assist Wine Yakima Valley (www.WineYakimaValley.org) on an integrated media buy with value-added promotional marketing for their annual area-wide “Red Wine & Chocolate” event.

The buy required immediate and intense scrutiny given the implosion of Smooth Jazz Station, KWJZ-FM, in Seattle prior to the advertising window for this special event to be held throughout the Yakima Valley.

“Peterson Media was key to quickly discovering where the mainstream wine drinker had migrated in their listening habits since KWJZ-FM went off the air,” said Barbara Glover, Marketing Director for Wine Yakima Valley.  “Leslie Peterson and her team did an outstanding job of rapidly establishing just where these listeners went and mapping out a detailed radio/digital campaign.”  Together Peterson Media and Wines of Washington Promotion developed value-added promotional spins working closely with the client and the radio stations.

“Based on specific and immediate requirements, we went with stations: KRWM-FM, and KING-FM.”  said, Peterson.  “They were extremely flexible and highly responsive to the client needs with such a hot deadline.  In addition, Peterson negotiated additional on-air promotional exposure and used the station’s digital assets with banners/links with on-line ticket contests. All tactics supported the event on station’s sites that resulted in fun, energized value-added concepts that were developed as a real team effort,”  Said Glover, who handles RED WINE & CHOCOLATE, SPRING BARREL TASTING and CATCH THE CRUSH events, among others, for the region, “Given these tough economic times and the accelerating price of gas, the overall results were remarkable.”
